With the launch of a new brand identity, NAWB saw the need for a complete overhaul, not only to modernize the site visually, but also to address critical issues around accessibility, navigation, and performance. NAWB’s existing website was built on Duda, a platform that had become too limited in functionality, speed, and flexibility.

Equally important was the need to integrate their AMS for seamless member management, the implementation of SSO functionality, the thoughtful migration of years of content.

The Solution

Our work with NAWB was a comprehensive rebuild that addressed both technical limitations and user experience challenges. A top priority was resolving content fragmentation caused by the previous platform’s inability to integrate with their AMS, Novi, leading to duplicate pages, confusion for users, and a heavy burden on content managers.

We began with a full audit of the existing architecture and content, identifying what should be preserved, retired, or consolidated. From there, we transitioned the site to a fully custom WordPress build, designed to support long-term flexibility and ease of use.

A core component was the custom AMS integration, which enabled seamless single sign-on (SSO), unified the member experience, and eliminated the need for duplicative content areas. We also created custom taxonomies to organize NAWB’s key content areas, allowing users to easily browse by topic or type through faceted search and intelligent tagging, keeping related materials connected across the site.

To support NAWB’s marketing goals, we implemented foundational SEO improvements and restructured the navigation to better serve both member and non-member audiences. Accessibility was also addressed to meet WCAG 2.0 A compliance. The new design reflects NAWB’s updated brand and provides clear paths for member recruitment and engagement.

The result is a clean, modern, mobile-friendly site that’s easier to manage in-house and built to grow alongside NAWB’s mission.

After
Before

From Fragmented to Fully Integrated

NAWB’s previous platform lacked flexibility, speed, and integration options. The inability to sync with their AMS led to duplicated content, fractured user journeys, and a time-consuming backend for staff. Navigation was clunky, the design outdated, and accessibility was not up to standard.

We delivered a fully custom WordPress website with seamless AMS integration, modern design, and WCAG 2.0 A compliance. The new site features streamlined navigation, intuitive content organization via custom taxonomies, and single sign-on for members, which dramatically improves both the user experience and internal workflows.
