As the preeminent association tackling international tax and trade policy issues, NFTC offers advice, advocacy, and access through regular meetings, private consultations with officials, public events, media briefings, and its role as a trusted advisor for members.

NFTC’s existing website used an aging proprietary CMS, Content Active, and was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain. As the existing site contained over two decades of content, NFTC was concerned that all of this information was preserved and made accessible on their new website without wanting to invest a significant amount of time manually handling each piece of information.

In addition to improving the outdated design, NFTC knew they needed to modernize their capabilities: the site was difficult to update, they had little control over the design elements, and end users had very limited ability to filter or search for content relevant to their interests.

The Solution

This project involved a major overhaul of every aspect of the NFTC website: from design to content to functionality.

We started by reorganizing the navigation into more intuitive buckets for different visitor types and then moved on to a complete content review, which included both copy editing and content migration. With careful planning, we extracted all the content from NFTC’s existing website using machine learning scraping into WordPress with high accuracy and minimal intervention.

With the foundational elements perfected, we designed a bright, modern website with a striking design and incorporated robust filtering and search functionality to ensure visitors are presented with the most relevant content and can easily find information in NFTC’s extensive archives.

In addition, the site offers more value to NFTC’s members with a robust members-only area, including private event information and an easy-to-manage login system.

A Complete Refresh

NFTC had new leadership with a new vision, part of which was transforming the organization’s digital strategy. We worked closely together to build a new platform to deliver this transformation while preserving decades of previous work materials.

The new website is bright and bold: using panels, tagging, texture, and colors for a truly unique design. In addition to a complete visual overhaul, the site provides the functionality required to make fast, easy content updates and provide the right information to visitors at a glance.
