Pension Rights had a Drupal website that was several years old. Not only had their organization changed and grown in the interim, but the site was also inflexible, creating storage and organization issues.

With thousands of pages of resources and information, broken links throughout, and navigational dead ends, most of the content wasn’t helping their visitors effectively.

The website was not mobile responsive, further complicating the visitor experience, and years of updates had diluted the site’s overall messaging.

The Solution

PRC needed some spring cleaning. By focusing on the different types of content they were publishing, we created a completely new navigation in order to better bucket their content.

Since this site is designed for retirees, we needed the different pathways to be as clear as possible, whether visitors are looking for a specific issue, resources related to that issue, how to get involved, or how to get help, each section of the website is extremely clear and concise.

To ensure editing was simple and straightforward for the small team running the organization, we made sure all of the posts were dynamic, and could easily be tagged to multiple page types. Not only does this help get the right content in front of the right visitor, it also streamlines content creation for editors, and improves search engine optimization. In addition, they are now able to design pages in-house through a simple fill-in-the-blank and drag-and-drop system, ensuring each page looks good and works across devices.

The design was purposefully created for a very simple user experience, whether it was using a clear, large font or the use of big, colorful buttons. The end result is a site truly designed for the needs of the Pension Rights team and their visitors.
